This online version of our 120 Hour Teacher Training Program is suitable for trainees who don't have a degree certificate or any previous TEFL teaching experience and are unable to attend the classroom based program at Frisby's College, Great Yarmouth UK. This program is particularly well-suited to trainees from the United States who are looking to complete a UK Accredited TEFL Certification remotely.
The 100 hours online learning materials provide a well structured and progressive route for trainees to learn all aspects of TEFL theory and learning concepts underpinned by the Frisby method for teaching languages. As trainees work through the course modules they are required to complete a series of one-to-one virtual tutorials with a Frisby's College Professional Instructor. These tutorials provide ongoing assessment and friendly feedback to the trainee, ensuring confidence. All learning materials have been carefully designed to provide relevant K-12 Grade teacher training leading up to departure and the trainee's in-class practicum in Thailand.
Once registered trainees can access materials as and when they want freely online and should follow the module guidelines and practice activities outlined. Instructions on how to schedule virtual tutorials with a Frisby's College Professional Instructor is provided during the trainee's initial session upon purchase. All trainees have ongoing access to additional support from Frisby's College whilst undertaking this theory element of the program.

TEFL Theory and Techniques
20 Hours Teaching Practicum Thailand
Upon arrival in Ubonratchathani, northeast Thailand trainees are welcomed and briefed at their YESasia Network School before starting their in-class practicum with full-time Thai students. This briefing includes a cultural orientation and an introduction into the specifics of Thai teaching and the Thai school environment.
Trainees are then paired with a mentor teacher and given a time table of lessons for the week that they will be involved with. The week of practicum is designed to provide a varied experience of shadowing, teach assisting and full lesson management with students of different ages. Trainees are encouraged to utilize free time for lesson planning using Thai curriculum and learning resources available at the school.
At the end of the week both the trainee and their mentor shall select a lesson and accompanying lesson plan for final assessment. After which successful trainees are then issued full TEFL Certification from Frisby's College by YESasia in Thailand.

How to enroll on to this program?
Trainees can enroll onto this program at anytime of the year however should understand that the teaching practicum and job placement stage in Thailand upon successful completion follows the academic high school calendar May-March.
The 100 hours online theory package may be completed any time prior to requesting a teaching practicum placement start date, although we advise that this shouldn't be more than 1 month prior to arriving in Thailand.

Private School TEFL Job Placement
Following certification trainees are allocated a full-time 1 year teaching job with a YESasia Network School in Northeast Thailand. All network schools are privately licensed schools with the Thai Ministry of Education and fully authorized to employ foreign teachers through the scheme, providing a monthly salary of 22,000 Baht, full visa support and employee medical insurance. For non-degree holders in most cases trainees will be registered with the YESasia Foundation and will be required to report to the foundation office in Bangkok throughout the years teaching. The cost of such is covered as part of this teaching program. Following the 1 year teaching placement trainees may be given the choice to either continue teaching at their network school for a second year or search for alternative teaching opportunities with private schools else where in Thailand. For those who decide seek teaching jobs independently following their 1 year placement, we ensure that both the TEFL Certification completed as part of this program and having their credentials registered with the Frisby's College Teachers Register shall demonstrate adequate teaching experience to gain further employment with private schools in Thailand. We can not ensure however the exact way in which such private schools outside our network provide visa support to non-degree holders.
